CHAIRMAN YANG GUOPING VISITED A RENOVATION SITE FOR AGING PIPELINES TO CONDUCT SAFETY INSPECTIONS AND CONVEY GREETINGS
The renovation project of Dazhong Gas' aging pipelines was in full swing in autumn. Early on the morning of October 14th, Yang Guoping, Chairman of the Group, and Executive Director Wang Baoping, visited a renovation site for aging pipelines on Taiyuan Road to conduct safety inspections and convey greetings. Yan Dafeng, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Dazhong Gas, Zhao Ruijun, Chairman of the Dazhong Gas, along with relevant business departments accompanied them.
The cohort led by Yang Guoping carefully examined and learned about the underground pipeline renovation operations in the residential communities at Lane 105 and Lane 125 on Taiyuan Road. Yan Dafeng briefed on the overall progress and specifics of the project. The aging pipelines, made of gray cast iron, have surpassed their operational lifespan and have been prioritized within the company’s 2024 gas pipeline renovation projects funded by treasury bonds. According to the company’s phased renovation plan, the project covers approximately 180 meters, with about 150 meters already completed. The entire project is expected to be finished by late October. This renovation aims to eliminate safety hazards in the area and achieve a more stable gas supply. At the same time, the company focuses on actively cultivating its construction workforce in the pipeline renovation project, testing and improving the construction skills of its workforce in practical operations.
Chairman Yang commended the overall implementation of the aging pipeline renovation project and highly praised the company's employees for their enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, handed out gifts as an expression of appreciation to frontline workers, and put forward expectations and requirements: First, given the tight schedule, high complexity, and substantial workload of the renovation project, it is essential to continuously summarize experiences, optimize work processes, and enhance the professional skills and expertise of the construction team. Second, it is necessary to maintain high standards and strict requirements to ensure safe and disciplined construction, strengthen risk control at the construction site, intensify efforts to identify potential hazards, and minimize the impact on surrounding residents during the renovation process through coordination with various parties.
