Independent Directors Conduct Research and Guidance at Subsidiary of Shanghai Dazhong Gas
On November 11, 2025, a delegation of the Group’s independent directors, Jiang Guofang, Yang Ping, and Liu Feng, visited a pipeline inspection station of Shanghai Dazhong Gas Co., Ltd. (“Shanghai Dazhong Gas”) to conduct research and provide guidance. They were accompanied by Wang Baoping, Executive Director of the Group and leader in charge of the gas sector, Zhao Fei, Secretary to the Board of Directors, Zhao Ruijun, Chairman of Shanghai Dazhong Gas, and Feng Zhenhua, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Dazhong Gas.
At the pipeline inspection station, the responsible personnel first provided the independent directors with an overview of the station’s basic information and development history. The directors were then led to visit the historic "river-crossing pipeline shaft" site. This shaft effectively breaks the geographical barrier posed by the Huangpu River to the city’s energy layout, allowing the independent directors to gain a tangible sense of the profound developmental heritage of the gas industry. Additionally, on-site inspectors demonstrated the TDLAS laser spectroscopy PPB inspection vehicle and PPB high-precision inspection electric bicycles, which have been put into operation and significantly enhanced inspection efficiency. The transition from early manual safety inspections covering 5 kilometers per day to the current intelligent safety inspections achieving 60 kilometers per day showcased a leapfrog development. This progress provided the independent directors with a deep understanding of the continuous advancements in technological innovation and operational maintenance models within the gas industry, as well as a more intuitive recognition of the industry’s proactive embrace of intelligent and refined development trends.
Following the on-site research, the independent directors attended a thematic report presented by the management of Shanghai Dazhong Gas on the scientific management of gas pipeline facilities and innovations in inspection practices. They also engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as the current development of the gas industry, regulatory oversight, and safety supply assurance. The independent directors emphasized that gas safety is a matter of utmost importance to countless households, requiring constant vigilance and zero tolerance for complacency. They stressed the need to continuously enhance the intelligence and refinement of gas safety management to ensure all processes are under real-time monitoring and effective management, thereby fortifying the city’s gas safety defenses.
This research not only deepened the independent directors’ understanding of the grassroots operations of city gas enterprises but also provided valuable insights and references for the future development of the Group’s gas sector. Moving forward, the Group will remain committed to supporting the research activities of independent directors to foster the steady and high-quality development of the enterprise.
