Shanghai Dazhong Gas Co., Ltd. is a regional urban gas enterprise engaging in the transmission, sales and services of gas business, which was established on September 28, 2001, with the registered capital of RMB800mn. Shanghai Gas Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Dazhong Public Utilities (Group) Co., Ltd. each hold a 50% stake.
Dazhong Gas sees branches consisting of business outlets, transmission division, gas supply division, emergency repair center, natural gas conversion division etc., employing over 1,400 staff and serving more than 1.6mn gas end-users located south of Suzhou River in Puxi. Dazhong Gas also owns nearly 6,100 kilometers of underground pipelines, as well as three large gas distribution stations that can hold up to 1.9mn m3 gas.
In addition, Dazhong Gas has also invested in two gas firms in Songjiang and Fengxian of outer Shanghai to enhance corporate profitability via synergistic development. During the recent years, as Shanghai’s urban construction goes forward, the gas market in Shanghai’s southern area realized solid progress, and Dazhong Gas will take the lead to contribute to the new clean-energy era of Shanghai’s southern area.
Nantong Dazhong Gas Co., Ltd.
Nantong Dazhong Gas Co., Ltd. was jointly established by Nantong Gas Corporation and Shanghai Dazhong Gas Investment & Development Co., Ltd. on December 18, 2003, and it is a professional urban utility enterprise engaging in the transmission, sales, design, construction, supervision and customer services of gas business under the Nantong Natural Gas Usage Project. The predecessor of Nantong Dazhong Gas was the Nantong Steel Factory established in 1971, which started its city coal gas business in 1985 and since became a relatively strong mid-sized gas company in Jiangsu.
